Short Biography

András Székely-Doby received his PhD from Corvinus University of Budapest in 2004. Currently he is associate professor at the Department of Comparative and Institutional Economics, and program coordinator of the Economic Analysis Master’s Program of the School of Economics. Having spent his entire professional career at the same department as Professor Kornai, his research interest has been deeply influenced by the comparative systems approach. As a former senior research fellow at the Institute for World Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, he started to study Asian issues and problems of Chinese transformation a decade ago, and has published several articles, papers, and chapters of books in this field since then.
